Gabby is an artist, interdisciplinary researcher, Antarctican, science communicator, educator and now PhD candidate. Her art practice operates across multiple disciplines and audiences– between contemporary art, science communication and community action and looks at different entry points to conversations around our changing climate. She often collaborates with scientists and primary school-aged students. This strategy acts as an access point for diverse communities to be part of the conversation around climate with art as the delivery system. In this presentation, she will talk about her practice and how it has shifted since participating in Antarctic oceanographic research with K131 in 2015 and 2016.
