Research Impact for Public Good Webinar Series
Dame Juliet Gerrard’s tenure as the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor (2018-2024) saw her navigate complex and high-stakes situations, offering science advice on pressing issues such as plastics, cannabis, AI in healthcare, and food waste. During this time, she also had a front-row seat to significant crises, including the Christchurch mosque shooting, the Whakaari | White Island eruption, and the COVID-19 pandemic. This seminar will provide a unique opportunity to hear from Juliet as she reflects on the lessons learned from these experiences.
