Today, there is more health information available than ever before to support our health and wellbeing, but finding trustworthy information and making sense of sometimes conflicting advice can be challenging. Digital technologies offer many opportunities, but they also raise important questions about quality, reliability and trust.
In this talk, the speakers will explore how people seek and use health information, discuss common challenges when navigating health information online and share practical tips to help you find, evaluate, and use information with greater confidence in your everyday life.
Presented by Samina Munir and Jennifer Campbell-Meier of Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington, School of Information Management & Wellington School of Business and Government.
This event is a collaboration with Victoria University Wellington and is part of the special programming to celebrate Te Wiki Kaumātua Seniors’ Week.
