About this event
The Early Career Researcher Forum Aotearoa will host a two-day event for early career researchers (including those studying a Masters or PhD and up to 10 years post PhD) on 18-19 April at Te Papa.

He Pito Mata is a unique convergence of connecting, sharing and amplifying the kōrero of early career researchers in Aotearoa. This year’s gathering follows on from a successful event in 2021, which was attended by over 250 delegates, and will offer a platform to amplify the kōrero of early careers. The two-day gathering will link and weave together kaikōrero (speakers), ‘on the couch’ discussions, Q&A panels, meet and greet sessions, and professional development opportunities with some great kai!

Note that numbers will be limited! This is a fully funded and sponsored hui – there is no charge to attend. Attendees will need to cover their own transport and accommodation; however, research organisations are encouraged to support their early career researchers to attend.
