Forest & Bird – The Future of Conservation Hui
Nature Can’t Vote, But You Can

Who is giving nature a voice this election?
Aotearoa New Zealand’s protected conservation land is under threat. Forest & Bird’s maps of at-risk land have sparked a national conversation – and this election you have an opportunity to show politicians how many of us value nature. Join Forest and Bird in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington this August, to hear from conservation experts about what’s at stake, and your political candidates on what they plan to do about it.

The Election Conversation – Evening Event
Who: Open to the public
Cost: Free

After networking and nibbles from 6pm, the programme features a keynote address on local conservation issues, hear an overview of what’s at stake for nature this election – including what the Conservation Amendment Bill could mean for the region, and a moderated political panel with representatives from across the spectrum. Audience questions will be put directly to the panel, giving you the chance to hear how parties plan to tackle the issues that matter most for nature.

Come along, get informed, and be part of the conversation this election.
