More information

This free talk will explore what Artificial Intelligence (AI) is, how it is being used in everyday situations, and what opportunities and challenges it presents.

Many people already interact with AI every day through online search, navigation apps, streaming services, social media, customer support tools, and other digital services, often without realising it. The speakers will discuss practical ways to use AI responsibly, the benefits it can offer and what to be mindful of when it comes to privacy, accuracy, bias, and trust. Join them for an accessible and balanced conversation about living alongside AI in a rapidly changing world.

Presented by Jennifer Campbell-Meier and Rebecca Mines of Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington, School of Information Management & Wellington School of Business and Government.

This event is a collaboration with Victoria University Wellington and is part of special programming to celebrate Te Wiki Kaumātua Seniors’ Week. Nau mai — all welcome!
