Meet local beekeepers, enjoy hands-on activities, and learn about these remarkable pollinators. Take a peek inside a live honey bee hive! The Wellington Gardens apiscope lets you safely watch bees building, feeding and caring for their colony. And try on real beekeeper gear.
Then make your way to the Treehouse Visitor Centre to explore the special Moth Exhibition and enjoy a tasting of delicious local Oil and Chocolate.
A fun day of discovery for the whole family. Bring the whānau, follow the buzz, and leave with a new appreciation for the small creatures (and breezes!) that make big things happen.
