More information

In this one-hour talk you will learn about plants that existed over 400 million years ago, and some very strange organisms fitting somewhere in evolutionary space between plants and fungi…..that baffle the boffins and everyone else. You will trek through the millennia right up to extant plants frequently referred to as ‘living fossils’.

Free of charge. You’re welcome to bring along your own ‘brown bag’ lunch to enjoy during the talk.

The speaker is Reg Harris, a volunteer guide [botany] at Wellington Botanic Garden.
Reg delivers botany lectures for diverse audiences, delving into plant interactions, adaptive radiation, tropisms, and more. As a dedicated volunteer guide at Wellington Botanic Garden (WBG), he pioneered collaborations between WBG and Victoria University, organizing annual field labs for biology students.
