You are warmly invited to join the upcoming townhall webinar, sharing updates on the progress of the Natural Hazards and Resilience Platform.
It’s been a busy few months for the Establishment Team, and this webinar marks a key milestone following the submission of the Resilience Platform Plan to MBIE at the end of March. A central part of the Plan is the proposed research structure, which outlines how the Platform will deliver on its mission to enhance Aotearoa New Zealand’s resilience to natural hazards, while also responding to MBIE and wider SSIF investment signals.
Following the research workshops and wānanga held in January and February, a dedicated Platform Design Team was formed to work alongside the Establishment Team. Together, they distilled the insights and ideas gathered through these engagements to co-develop a research structure that reflects the aspirations we heard from across the sector. The result is an integrated, ambitious framework designed to support collaboration, build capability, and drive impact. (You can find more information on the website here.)
