See the bays in a whole new light with this special evening ride.
Join Welly on Wheels for a unique night-time bike ride around the bays and Kilbirnie, where you’ll explore the exciting street changes and improvements in the area while enjoying a bit of stargazing!
This special ride is hosted by Switched on Bikes, GWRC Pedal Ready, and the Wellington Astronomical Society. It’s a fantastic way to gain confidence on your bike, learn about new infrastructure, and discover how fun it can be to travel by bike at night. You’ll stop at the Moai Statue in Lyall Bay, where the Wellington Astronomical Society will have telescopes set up for some awesome stargazing; a crescent moon and Jupiter are due to be visible!

Tickets: $20
Each ticket includes an e-bike hire and will be refunded if you have your own e-bike.
It’s going to be a fun and confidence-building way to experience riding at night.
